This is my first blog post of many I hope:-).  I am new to Electric Fencing Direct ... my name is Leslie Sutherland.

I wasn't really sure how to start my first ever blog... so here goes I decided to write about something that I am interested in and something that I can give you information about to help you improve a situation.

Why does a horse start to crib?

The root cause of cribbing is stress and boredom. Wild horses do not crib, and spend up to 90% of their time grazing and searching for food.

On our way along the north coast of Scotland - where surprisingly the weather was bright and sunny unlike most of southern UK - we spotted some new fencing.

So simple - one line of high tensile wire threaded through ring insulators to help protect and maintain a new stock fence.  If this line of electric fencing is maintained properly it will greatly increase the life of the stock fence as cattle and horses will not be tempted to rub on the fence posts or push against
