Hello all - do you need to keep badgers out by using an electric fence?
Yet again the badgers are out in force... we are getting more and more calls this week about badgers either turning over the garden, getting into the veg patch or even turning over the bird feeders for food so below we have some kits that might help you. We are also on the end of a phone to put together something bespoke to fit your needs. Believe me I feel your pain for me its moles who are doing the damage to my garden...

On 4 January 2017 the Scottish Government announced that the Avian Influenza Prevention Zone will remain in force until 00:01 on 28 February 2017, maybe longer. As part of the requirements of the zone, all poultry and captive birds in Scotland must be kept indoors or otherwise kept separate from wild birds, and bird keepers must also apply heightened biosecurity measures where practical.

You may know that Keepers of poultry and other captive birds must now keep their birds indoors, or take steps to keep them separate from wild birds as a precaution against the spread of avian influenza which has been spreading through Europe in the past few weeks.

Can we come up with high quality produce at good prices in the UK?
Well, Farmer's Weekly have noticed that LIDL has brought out an Xmas advert that backs British farming. It aims to show that it’s possible to deliver high quality produce at good prices. Good news surely! :-)
