In August 2014 we were contacted and asked to supply some electric fencing to keep 28 horses enclosed in the evenings on The Warhorse Ride 2014. We did so with pleasure and asked in return to see some pictures of this great ride. The horses that were to be enclosed were militry horses who were taking part in The Warhorse Ride in commemoration of all the men and horses who were invloved in the early part of the Great War.
Here is a bit fo information on the ride:

Well hello November,
And wow how it has suddenly turned bitterly cold and frosty. Now is the time of year when the grass is getting low and the weather has turned when you need to pay attention to your battery, charging it and the care and maintaince to see you through to the spring.
So we are in the 2nd week in November and by now we should be planning our winter grazing habits (so as not to have last minute panics and realise you have to wait 3 days to let the animals out again because you need

Solar set-ups
If you are using a solar set-up then as our UK day-lengths get shorter (usually Nov to march) you'll need to recharge your 12v batteries using a mains charger since the sun alone won't be enough to keep the battery topped up. (If you don't recharge the battery regularly over the winter you will damage the battery ..and have to buy a new one..so beware!).
if you are on the market for a new battery then please click here to see all our batteries

Hello All,
So do you all check to see if your fences are working properly do you use a friend then wonder when you ask for help with a fencing problem do they suddenly become very busy or just find out when the animals have escaped that it is not....If you do check them how do you do it?
Touch and jump back?
Get someone else to?
Or use a fence tester?
If like me you are a wimp and use a tester ( the best option really) then this blog is for you.
KV10 LED Tester £21.60

We answer questions regularly on gateways, here are a few examples of different gateway openings for you.
This time of year is when the poaching damage can be done, here are some examples that might help you with this problem.

This means the field is protected from every angle should you have naughty livestock

Are you heading away on your holidays soon (lucky you) and are going to leave someone else in charge of the zoo? Are you worried about the length of your battery life and that your friend will have to lug the battery in to be charged?
Well why not look at adding a solar panel to your set up? A fantastic way to lengthen the life of your battery. So instead of every few weeks having to cart the battery home to charge you will only be doing it approx 3 times a year(dependent on position to the sun)
